Alesha
As a child, Alesha lived with his family. Everything was nice;
he had a good life. When Alesha was 10, his mother got sick
and died. When she passed away the family didn't want to keep
him, so they took him to the orphanage. He was in the orphanage
for 7 years, and then went to vocational school, studying
to become a secretary-reviewer. Alesha was transferred to
the Harbor directly from vocational school by the recommendation
of the social worker. While he lived at the Harbor he actively
participated in the program and continued his education at
the vocational school. He also loves computers and is very
good with them and wants to work in this field. Alesha is
very intelligent, smart, confident, and self-sufficient; he
lived at the Harbor for only a year. Upon finishing the Harbor
program, he continued to study at the vocational school and
now lives on his own. He continues to participate in the Harbor's
follow up program. He is now working in a restaurant while
he finishes his education.

Stepan
Stepan graduated from the Harbor in the summer of 2006. He graduated from a Cobbler College as a Cobbler Specialist. His dream is to go to Bible school and open his own cobbler business. He shares that, “To be honest, the life in the orphanage has little value. However, after you leave the orphanage you begin to have a broader understanding why so many orphans who leave the orphanage die at a young age. When you have no confidence and strength; you are worth nothing. Coming to the Harbor, I have learned a lot. God strengthened my faith in Him and gave me strength and confidence. The Harbor taught me what needs to be done first. At the Harbor I learned various skills; some came quickly and others took time. There is a great value in what I learned and gained by being at the Harbor and that is the most important. I have not accomplished much at this point, but still have a lot of life yet to live." Stepan is actively involved in the church music group. He is also spiritually growing in his walk with the Lord.

She is a good, responsible person. While she was at "The Harbor"

You can always count on her; whatever you ask her to do, she
will do it well and often expresses much initiative. She regularly
visits the church and actively participates in the youth ministry.
Ira successfully completed vocational school #90 with a diploma
of excellence. Recently God opened another door for her and
she was accepted as a student at the university to study History
and English. Fall of 2004, Marina graduated from "The Harbor"
